Connect to a reserved server

Reserved server access is in Beta. Sign in to the Nodus console, select your project and open Reserved compute. Your assigned server appears after its reservation and hardware setup are complete.

For command-line access, install the CLI and run nodus login. Each assigned server is a read-only ReservedHost resource. Run nodus get reservedhosts in your selected project to list assignments.

Open the server to see its GPUs, system memory, reservation dates and connection status. When it is Ready, choose Connect. On your computer, copy the SSH command from the connection panel. It has this form, with your own server ID, project and organization:

nodus ssh node/<node-id> --project <project> --org <organization>

The CLI registers your public SSH key, saves the server’s connection and opens a shell in its physical operating system. Your private key stays on your computer. The connection uses your Nodus account and the assigned OS user. Your Nodus account handles the connection without a VPN or public server IP address.

To save the connection without opening a shell, append --config. After setup, select the saved host shown in the connection panel in VS Code or Cursor Remote SSH. The same alias works with SFTP and SCP. Keep the Nodus CLI installed; it authenticates and routes each connection and verifies the SSH host identity.

Closing your terminal does not release the server or end the reservation. Files remain on its disks, subject to the storage and backup terms of your contract. Back up important files separately. A host failure can lose unsaved data, and a connection does not promise uninterrupted processes.

Owners, admins and authorized project members can connect with registered personal keys. Viewers have read-only access. Manage your keys under Account → SSH keys. Removing a key, losing project access, suspension or term expiry closes Nodus access. An offline server remains assigned to you while its connection is restored; the console shows why Connect is unavailable.

Reservation billing follows your contract. Disconnecting does not end it. Arrange data export before the term ends. Future lending of unused reserved capacity is not enabled by this feature.
